Then Belfast Cookery Schools Beer and Food Matching Class is definitely for you!!

We have devised a menu matching and challenging flavour profiles of 3 fantastic beers from Franciscan Wells Brewery in Cork.

To Begin you shall prepare and cook Prawn Tacos with charred watermelon salsa. For Main Course We have ‘Hannans’  Grilled Sugar Pit Bacon Chop with Flavour filled curried puy lentils and asparagus. To finish, a deliciously rich banana bread with caramelized bananas!

This menu and its ingredients have been specifically designed by our talented head chef Ian Hunter, who will be joined on the evening by Industry Professional and Beer Sommelier Des McCann from Franciscan Well. Des and Ian will talk through each course discussing the beer and food pairing and explaining how the flavour profiles complement each other. An evening not to be missed!!!

 

Hi, I’m Des and I am the Beer Innovation Manager & Sommelier for Molson Coors Brewing Company. My job is all about sensory and flavour. Like most, I have a passion for beer and food. I set out on a project to explore what happens when you bring them together, the results will simply astonish you. Join us on a journey of sensory delight!
